MEET OUR STAFF

Ronald Horowitz, MD, FAAP

Dr. Horowitz is board certified in pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is a graduate of Muhlenberg College and completed his medical training at Hahnemann University School of Medicine where he earned membership into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed his residency at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital in Cleveland.  He has been practicing in the area for more than 10 years.

Maryanne May Kuo, MD, FAAP

Dr. Kuo is a graduate of the University of Delaware and completed her medical school training at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia.  She completed her residency training at AI duPont Hospital for Children.  She is board certified in pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Medical Association. During her residency she still found time to volunteer at the Orange Street Clinic at the A.I. duPont Hospital for Children.

Susan Ramirez-Chung, MD

Dr. Ramirez-Chung is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania. She completed her medical school training at Drexel University College of Medicine. She then completed her Pediatrics residency training at Thomas Jefferson University/Nemours AI duPont Hospital for Children. Although not originally from Philadelphia, she’s been here over 18 years and looks forward to raising her daughter in this wonderful city. ¡Dra. Ramirez-Chung habla español!

Neeru Khanna, MD, FAAP

Dr. Khanna is board certified in Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She completed her residency training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark, NJ (UMDNJ, now known as Rutgers). She graduated in 2006 and has been a Primary Care Pediatrician for more than 10 years. She recently moved to PA and plans to settle in the Philadelphia suburbs. She loves hiking, traveling,  and playing with her kids. The Khannas have twin girls, a son, and a chocolate Lab.

Maxine Ames, MD, FAAP

Dr. Ames is a graduate of Cornell University and she completed her medical school training at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell in Long Island, NY where she was selected for membership to the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She completed her residency training at Thomas Jefferson University/Nemours AI duPont Hospital for Children. During her residency Dr. Ames was awarded the Richard C. Gozon Compassion in Medicine Award.  Dr. Ames is board certified in pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

We help families evaluate the risks and benefits of all interventions in order to provide customized care to what is best for every child.
Alyssa Denenberg, MSN, CRNP

Alyssa is a board certified Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.  She received a Masters of Science in Nursing from Villanova University.  During Alyssa’s graduate education, she was awarded Distinguished Achievement in Service.  Alyssa received her Bachelors Degree in Health Science with a focus on community health from Towson University, and has had six years of pediatric nursing experience in both primary care and emergency medicine.  Alyssa is involved with the nonprofit organization Blair in Kenya, and enjoys traveling to Kenya to provide medical care and supplies to a village that has little to no access to healthcare.

Jerome Horowitz, MD, FAAP (retired)

Dr. Jerome Horowitz is the founder of the practice. He is often seen at the practice participating in meetings and ensuring that the patients continue to get top-notch care. A native of Philadelphia, he has been practicing in the area for more than 40 years. Dr. Horowitz completed his medical student training at Hahnemann University Hospital where he earned membership into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed his residency training at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children. He is board certified in pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
